Kensie Cares | Honoree Shauneen Linton and The Alzheimer’s Association - Iowa Chapter

Please join us in congratulating Shauneen Linton as our recent Kensie Cares honoree! As an IDS (Implementation, Development & Support) Project Manager at KensieMae, Shauneen has done an excellent job working closely with her clients and taking the time needed to fully understand their workflow and process in order to provide actionable feedback and valuable guidance. Her extensive background in construction lending is one of the many skillsets she brings to the team, as well as providing keen insight on many topics to clients and colleagues alike.

SHAUNEEN LINTON, IDS PROJECT MANAGER, HOLDING HER DONATION TO THE ALZHEIMER'S ASSOCIATION OF IOWA, IS SHOWN ALONGSIDE FRIENDS AND FAMILY IMPACTED BY ALZHEIMER'S. PICTURED LEFT TO RIGHT - SHAUNEEN LINTON, GINNY RENDA, JEAN GROSS, SALLY SCHLARMANN, AND CARMIE RENDA.

"Shauneen is a stellar example of what it means to be a part of the KensieMae team. Her willingness to help, participate, and provide feedback has fundamentally influenced our group,” Kat Downs, IDS Operations Manager and Shauneen’s supervisor, said. “Her diligence and attention to detail allow her to provide excellent service to her clients and partners. Her willingness to learn and take on new challenges is exemplary and has contributed to her success. She Rocks!”

Shauneen chose to donate to her local chapter of The Alzheimer’s Association (Iowa) after seeing the struggles firsthand of family and friends in hopes of one day finding a cure. “I came to this decision after thinking about what people near and dear to me are dealing with and realized how many have been affected, including that far more women are impacted than men,” Shauneen said. “I am hopeful we will learn more about this disease every year and how to mitigate or cure it.”

Here’s a description of the Alzheimer’s Association mission from ALZ.ORG:

The Alzheimer's Association was founded in 1980 by a group of family caregivers and individuals who recognized the need for an organization that would unite caregivers, provide support to those facing Alzheimer's, and advance research into the disease. Today, the Association reaches millions of people affected by Alzheimer's and all other dementia and is the leading voluntary health organization in Alzheimer's care, support, and research.

The Alzheimer's Association is the largest non-profit funder of Alzheimer's disease research. The organization has chapters and communities across the nation, with its national office located in Chicago and the public policy office in Washington, D.C. Its mission is "to eliminate Alzheimer's disease through the advancement of research; to provide and enhance care and support for all affected, and to reduce the risk of dementia through the promotion of brain health."

Once again, we’d like to congratulate Shauneen Linton for her Kensie Cares recognition and thank her for her dedication, contributions, and valuable efforts here at KensieMae.

We created the Kensie Cares program in honor of the company's namesake, who shows generosity and a willingness to help others. Kensie Cares embodies the spirit of both rewarding our fantastic team with a well-deserved show of appreciation and helping to provide some much-needed support for those less fortunate.

Each quarter, we choose one KensieMae employee who has most exemplified the qualities of work, initiative, ingenuity, teamwork, and exceeding effort that KensieMae prides its reputation on (both to our clients and partners, as well as internally). We make a $1,000 donation in that recipient's name to the deserving nonprofit of their choosing.
