Kensie Cares | Honoree Justin Gilroy and Child’s Play

Please join us in congratulating Justin Gilroy as our recent Kensie Cares honoree! As a product liaison at KensieMae Technologies, Justin is exceptional in his work, while diving in to assist everyone from project managers, support staff, development, and many others. He always goes above and beyond the expectations of those who work with him. Justin is instrumental in the testing and documentation of many products and web-based utilities at KensieMae Technologies.

“Justin’s accomplishments and dedication to his quality of work and can-do attitude leave an impression with any team he works with.  Our team continues to be impressed by the results and improvement Justin brings to any task!” said Steve Baxley, senior vice president of product management.

For Justin's nonprofit, he chose to donate to Child’s Play which provides video games to children in hospitals and domestic violence shelters.

Here’s a description of their core mission from their website:

KensieMae Technologies’ Product Liaison Justin Gilroy with the donation to Child’s Play.

"Since 2003, we’ve set up and organized Child’s Play, a game industry charity dedicated to improving the lives of children with toys and games in our network of over 185 hospitals worldwide. ...

“... Partner hospitals receive an annual gift designated to support their Child Life department through games and technology. Where available partner hospitals also have Amazon Wishlists tailored to their specific needs. Child's Play also supports our partner hospitals by providing resources like our Therapeutic Video Game Guide and acting as a hub of knowledge where gaming and technology are concerned in the children's hospital setting.

“Since 2015 Child’s Play has been outfitting DV Shelters with game systems. Shelters receive a GAEMS case with an Xbox loaded with games carefully selected to be appropriate for the environment. The game system helps shelters create an inviting environment for young survivors and can be used as a part of therapy allowing for co-op play that helps break down barriers that kids/teens may have when asked to talk about abuse.”

Once again, we’d like to congratulate Justin Gilroy for his Kensie Cares recognition and thank him for all his hard work and contributions.

We created the KensieMae Cares program in honor of the company's namesake, who shows generosity and a willingness to help others. Kensie Cares embodies the spirit of both rewarding our fantastic team with a well-deserved show of appreciation and helping to provide some much-needed support for those less fortunate.

Each quarter, we choose one KensieMae or KensieMae Technologies employee who has most exemplified the qualities of work, initiative, ingenuity, teamwork and exceeding effort that KensieMae prides its reputation on (both to our clients and partners, as well as internally). We make a $1,000 donation in that recipient's name to the deserving nonprofit of their choosing.
