Kensie Cares | Honoree Julie Hansen and Girls Who Code

Julie Hansen, IDS Projects Manager and TAP Community Moderator at KensieMae, is pictured with her family and the donation to Girls Who Code.

Please join us in congratulating Julie Hansen as our recent Kensie Cares honoree! As an IDS (Implementation, Development, and Support) Projects Manager at KensieMae, Julie is an excellent resource to her clients, her colleagues, and those in The Admin Portal (TAP) Community on MortgageLendingHUB, where she has been an influential leader for the last year as a Community Moderator. Julie’s positive attitude, creativity, and helpful nature make her an exemplary team member at KensieMae. Our team was highly impressed with her contributions to content creation and presentation at the TAP Community Awards event in Las Vegas earlier this year and her overall engagement with clients during the ICE Experience Conference. Julie also hosts our weekly TAP Community Open Hours call and serves on internal Advisory Teams. Lastly, she was the 1st place winner in the inaugural KensieMae Halloween contest last year, along with her adorable pet corgi! Julie is truly a pleasure to work with and a great asset to our organization.

“Julie is amazing at communicating, which makes working with her smooth and comfortable,” Kat Downs, IDS Operations Manager and Julie’s supervisor said. “Her ability to anticipate her clients’ and co-workers’ needs and thoughts is remarkable. This allows for consistent and thorough solutions that are well thought out.”

Julie has chosen to donate to Girls Who Code, an organization whose focus is to teach girls and young women* about coding and how to advance in the tech industry. She believes their mission aligns with the incredible support women receive in the tech space here at KensieMae and feels this is vital outreach in the broader fintech ecosystem. “Preparing the next generation to succeed is so important to every industry. The fact that Girls Who Code focuses on empowering young women in the tech industry will make opportunities in our field attainable for so many talented minds. That's a future I'd like to see,” Julie Hansen said.

Girls Who Code describes their work in this way:

Girls Who Code is an international non-profit organization working to close the gender gap in technology and change the image of what a programmer looks like and does. With their 7-week Summer Immersion Program, after-school Clubs, College Loops program and New York Times best-selling series, they are leading the movement to inspire, educate, and equip young women with the computing skills to pursue 21st-century opportunities. Girls Who Code has reached 300,000 girls around the world.

Once again, we’d like to congratulate Julie Hansen for this Kensie Cares recognition and thank her for all of her efforts, community engagement, and noteworthy contributions here at KensieMae.

We created the KensieMae Cares program in honor of the company's namesake, who shows generosity and a willingness to help others. Kensie Cares embodies the spirit of both rewarding our fantastic team with a well-deserved show of appreciation and helping to provide some much-needed support for those less fortunate.

Each quarter, we choose one KensieMae or KensieMae Technologies employee who has most exemplified the qualities of work, initiative, ingenuity, teamwork and exceeding effort that KensieMae prides its reputation on (both to our clients and partners, as well as internally). We make a $1,000 donation in that recipient's name to the deserving nonprofit of their choosing.
