Kensie Cares | Honoree Michael Pate and Children’s Hospital of Alabama

Please join us in congratulating Michael Pate as our recent Kensie Cares honoree! As an IDS (Implementation, Development, and Support) Projects Manager at KensieMae, Michael stands out with his willingness to assist others and offer help whenever and wherever needed. Michael has consistently gone above and beyond, from assisting teammates with business rules to contributing to internal Advisory Teams.

“Michael is one of the most patient people I know,” Bill Braverman, IDS Operations Manager and Michael’s supervisor, said. “His even-keeled personality puts everyone who meets him at ease. He’s always there to lend team members a hand and jump in and help with whatever needs to be done. We’re lucky to have him.”

Michael chose to donate to the Children’s Hospital of Alabama in an effort to do something in return for an organization that has had such a profound impact on his family. “The Spina Bifida Program at Children’s Hospital of Alabama has been an integral part of my daughter’s health and allowed her to thrive and enjoy being an active four-year-old with a love for gymnastics,” Michael Pate said.

Children’s of Alabama describes their work in this way:

Michael Pate, IDS Projects Manager at KensieMae and proud father, is pictured with his strong, brave daughter, Harper, and the donation to Children’s Hospital of Alabama.

"Since 1911, Children’s of Alabama has provided specialized medical care for ill and injured children. Ranked among the best children’s hospitals in the nation by U.S. News & World Report, Children’s serves patients from every county in Alabama and nearly every state. With more than 3.5 million square feet, it is one of the largest pediatric medical facilities in the United States. Children’s offers inpatient and outpatient services at its Russell Campus on Birmingham’s historic Southside with additional specialty services provided at Children’s South, Children’s on 3rd and in Huntsville and Montgomery. Primary medical care is provided in more than a dozen communities across central Alabama. Children’s is the only health system in Alabama dedicated solely to the care and treatment of children. It is a private, not-for-profit medical center that serves as the teaching hospital for the University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB) pediatric medicine, surgery, psychiatry, research and residency programs. The medical staff consists of UAB faculty and Children’s full-time physicians as well as private practicing community physicians.

Once again, we’d like to congratulate Michael Pate for his Kensie Cares recognition and thank him for all his hard work and notable contributions here at KensieMae.

We created the KensieMae Cares program in honor of the company's namesake, who shows generosity and a willingness to help others. Kensie Cares embodies the spirit of both rewarding our fantastic team with a well-deserved show of appreciation and helping to provide some much-needed support for those less fortunate.

Each quarter, we choose one KensieMae or KensieMae Technologies employee who has most exemplified the qualities of work, initiative, ingenuity, teamwork and exceeding effort that KensieMae prides its reputation on (both to our clients and partners, as well as internally). We make a $1,000 donation in that recipient's name to the deserving nonprofit of their choosing.
